Oleksiy Leonkov, a military analyst for Arsenal of the Fatherland, believes that the North Atlantic Alliance has prepared for Ukraine the role of a provocateur, the weekly Zvezda writes.
The expert notes that since 2014, the number of military exercises in the Ukraine-NATO format has increased significantly. For 2021, eight exercises are planned near Crimea with the participation of 11 thousand foreign military personnel.
“The Ukraine-NATO military exercises have their own distinctive feature – they are not exercises of the “NATO-ally” or “NATO-partner” format, no, everything is different here – Ukraine, as a vassal, fulfills its tasks, and the West provides it with informational support and material security […] In other words – NATO, or rather the United States, will fight with Russia to the last Ukrainian soldier and partisan”, – Leonkov said.
In his opinion, the main task of the Ukrainian fleet and ground-based anti-ship complexes is the armed provocation of the Russian defense systems deployed in Crimea, intelligence and target designation of the Black Sea Fleet forces in the interests of NATO.
