The country will donate some of its products to guarantee the supply of vaccines, the Venezuelan president said.
According to TASS, Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro admits the possibility of paying for the supply of vaccines against coronavirus by exporting oil to the countries producing these drugs.
“Venezuela has oil tankers and customers who buy oil. The country will donate a portion of its production to ensure it supplies the vaccines it needs. Oil in exchange for vaccines”, – the head of state said on the Venezolana de Television channel.
According to official data, the number of confirmed cases of coronavirus infection in Venezuela has exceeded 156 thousand, and 1,555 people have died.
