British security forces set dogs on peaceful protesters against scandalous police law

Rallies against a bill designed to restrict citizens’ rights to protest continue in Britain’s Bristol

Protests in the city of Bristol, south-west England, were again reaching crowds of thousands on Friday, March 26, with clashes with police. The protesters have thrown glass bottles and bricks at the police and used fireworks. During the protests, a police horse was injured and sprayed with paint by protesters.

“Ten people were arrested for offences including disorderly conduct, assaulting an emergency worker and possession of class A drugs”, –  local police superintendent Mark Runacres said in a statement.

It is true that the radicals were not the only ones facing police aggression. Numerous videos from the rally show security forces beating peaceful protesters with batons and shields. Moreover, police dogs were set upon protesters.

As News Front reported earlier, 33-year-old Sarah Everard was killed in London on March 13. She was the victim of an acting law enforcement officer, which led to mass unrest in the society. In order to quell the protests, the authorities drafted a bill that would give police new powers to set time and noise limits for street protests.
