Blinken evaluates results of meeting in Moscow on Afghanistan

The US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken considered positive the results of the recent meeting in Moscow on Afghanistan.

“There was a very productive meeting in Moscow. As a result, a very important statement was made”, – he said at a press conference in Brussels.

Blinken noted that such meetings show the possibility of adhering to common principles for solving the Afghan problem, even for those countries whose interests do not coincide.

On March 18, Zamir Kabulov, Director of the Second Asian Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry, the President’s Special Representative for Afghanistan, said that at a conference in Moscow, representatives of the parties to the intra-Afghan conflict declared their readiness to negotiate peace in Afghanistan.
