According to TASS, in the congratulatory message of President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko to Pope Francis on the occasion of the next anniversary of the pontificate, Belarus and Vatican hold common views on interfaith dialogue and maintaining regional stability and can find solutions to any problems in an atmosphere of trust.
“The common view of Belarus and the Vatican contributes to joint initiatives on preserving regional stability and interfaith dialogue and forms the basis of support in international organizations”, – the message reads.
According to Lukashenko, the relations between Minsk and the Vatican have always been based on a rich history and deep respect.
“The experience of the last months vividly confirms that the achieved level of understanding enables us to find solutions to any issues in an atmosphere of trust. Your disinterested assistance and readiness to compromise show that the Holy See cares about the Belarusian believers and is interested in strengthening the society”, – Lukashenko stressed.
