Joe Biden is making enemies of women’s rights advocates. The reason for this was the president’s liberal ideas regarding gender identity.
As early as January 20, just after occupying the White House, Biden issued a decree obliging educational institutions to allow students to participate in sports based on their gender identity, not biological sex. That is, men who claim to be women can compete alongside women, despite the possible difference in physical characteristics.
The decree aims to provide an opportunity for students “to study without worrying about whether they will be denied access to the toilet, locker room or sports section”, the White House commented on the decision.
On Monday, March 8, Biden exacerbated the situation by excluding women and girls altogether from the law as a category. As a result, the president caused discontent even among the democratic electorate. In particular, criticism came from women’s rights defenders.
“We are witnessing the complete destruction of biological sex, and we must stop it”, – said Kara Danski, a spokeswoman for the organization and an ardent feminist.
Biden should consult with the public before introducing laws that redefine gender and “include vague, vague, incomprehensible, made-up lies about gender identity”, she said.
“This is an absolute emergency”, – emphasizes Dansky.
“It has consequences, and as a feminist, as you know, I really care about the rights, privacy and safety of women and girls. But I also understand that the destruction of sex has extremely far-reaching consequences”.
