Pro-Turkish militants in Syria detain half a hundred peaceful protesters

Mass rallies against pro-Turkish militants were held in several localities in Syria’s Idlib and Aleppo provinces, with militants detaining more than 50 civilians in response

 

Rear Admiral Alexander Karpov, deputy head of the Russian Centre for the Reconciliation of the Hostile Parties in the Syrian Arab Republic, said on Sunday.

“In the city of Idlib, more than 500 citizens came out for a mass rally against the criminal activities of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham militants. Mass rallies were held in the communities of Jedraya, Behun and Kansafra in Idlib province and Suran and Kafra in Aleppo province, calling for civilians to have access to basic necessities. All the protests were stopped by pro-Turkish militants and more than 50 civilians were detained”, –  Karpov said.
