Pashinyan and Blinken discuss situation in Armenia

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan held a telephone conversation with the US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken. The parties discussed the settlement of the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh and the situation in Armenia.

“The Secretary of State emphasized the importance of the rule of law and democratic institutions, and also expressed our support for the development of democratic processes and institutions in Armenia”, – said State Department spokesman Ned Price.

Earlier it was reported that the United States opposed representatives of the General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces, who sought the resignation of Pashinyan. The State Department called on the military “not to interfere in politics”.
