Main Russophobes of Europe looking for opportunity to buy Russian vaccine

The Latvian government, despite its fierce anti-Russian policy, is waiting for permission from Brussels to purchase the Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine.

This was announced by the head of the Ministry of Health of the Baltic Republic, Daniel Pavluts.

According to him, Riga is waiting for the decision of the European Medicines Agency regarding the Russian vaccine. If the regulator approves the drug, Lithuania will immediately begin deliveries to vaccinate its citizens.

“We will use every safe and scientifically grounded opportunity to protect the life and health of the people of Latvia”, – the official said.

He also noted that by the middle of the year, the republic expects to gain access to 7 different vaccines against COVID-19.
