The Armenian side is committed to continuous work aimed at strengthening relations with Russia, Armenian Foreign Minister Ara Ayvazyan said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
“The allied nature of the Armenian-Russian interstate relations already predetermines constant, continuous work in terms of their further strengthening and adaptation to modern realities, conditioned by both time and developments that we have at the regional and global levels. We intend to carry out this work in a coordinated manner. proceeding from the need to ensure the fundamental interests of the peoples of our countries”, – the minister said.
According to him, the friendship of the peoples of the two countries has always been and will remain a solid basis for this work.
“We intend to carry out this work within the framework of our existing interstate mechanisms of interaction. This is the intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation, and the inter-parliamentary dialogue within the framework of a large commission and relevant specialized committees, this is also work within the framework of the military-technical commission and in other Naturally, all this will be promoted with the active coordinating role of the foreign affairs agencies of our countries”, – the minister said.
“I want to especially emphasize the importance of the intensive dialogue that we are conducting and intend to build up at the level of the diplomatic services of Armenia and Russia”, – Ayvazyan added.
