Armenian opposition protesters gathered outside the police building in central Yerevan to demand a meeting with Vahe Ghazaryan, the agency’s head
The protesters gave Kazarian 15 minutes to come out to the protesters.
“We are now blocking the police building and demanding the head of the police to come out to us. He must answer for the outrages made by his subordinates”, – said Ishkhan Saghatelyan, representative of Dashnaktsutyun party.
As reported by News Front, the protests in Armenia have been going on since last autumn, when a settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict was achieved with the mediation of Russia. The Armenian opposition then blamed Pashinyan for the concessions made in the agreement with Azerbaijan. Armenia’s economic and social problems were later added to the list of grievances.
