White House press secretary Jen Psaki has said that US President Joe Biden’s administration has decided to restrict the entry of “new migrants” into the country
“This is not the time for migrants to come in, and the vast majority of people will be denied entry”, – Psaki said when asked by a reporter about the influx of migrants near the southern US borders.
The White House press secretary attributed such a decision to the continued unfavourable epidemiological situation in the USA due to the coronavirus pandemic. Psaki also stressed that the Biden administration had insufficient time to develop new processes for receiving migrants.
