Trump was dissatisfied with the work of lawyers at the meeting on impeachment

Former US President Donald Trump is unhappy with the way his lawyers spoke at the Senate impeachment meeting. This is reported by CNN.

A CNN source said Trump was particularly disappointed with the work of his lawyer, Bruce Castor, and “almost shouted” at him. During the meeting, the lawyer made a speech in which he outlined some of the arguments of the defense.

According to the Politico newspaper, the ex-President of the United States watched the meeting while on his estate in Florida and found the arguments of his defenders “unnecessarily confusing and indistinct”.

CNN also noted that many GOP officials were disappointed with Trump’s defense. In their opinion, during the first impeachment procedure, the ex-head of the American administration was represented by more experienced lawyers.
Political observer Valentin Bogdanov noted that the lack of strong legal protection could turn into a disaster for the former US president.

“Trump has no legal armor. There is a party. Yes, impeachment in the Upper House of the US Congress will not work. The Republicans won’t. But then Trump will find himself face to face with his non-political past. And there may be surprises. If there is no strong defense, then any criminal process, any civil lawsuit in the long term can turn into a disaster for the former president”, – Bogdanov wrote in his Telegram channel.
