Uzbekistan took part in the EEC meeting for the first time. The republic was represented by Deputy Prime Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade S. Umurzakov.
As reported by the tg-channel “Asia in the Center”, at the meeting they discussed measures to increase industrial cooperation and create joint ventures. The main areas of cooperation of the EAEU participants will be mechanical engineering, energy, textile and pharmaceutical industries, agriculture and animal husbandry.
“Great importance is attached to the expansion of the geography of trade of the union with third countries. This year, it is planned to include the People’s Republic of Bangladesh in the EAEU free trade zone”, – the message says.
The situation on the Union’s internal market will be discussed in detail on February 5 in Alma-Ata by the heads of government of the Eurasian Economic Union.
