Hungary asks Ukraine to work together on language issue

Hungary has asked Ukraine to start joint work on the language law, as well as on the education issue, which has strained relations between the two countries.

Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjártó said this at a joint press conference with his Ukrainian counterpart Dmitry Kuleba in Kiev on Wednesday.

“I have appealed to the minister that we should start joint work on the language law, which has caused tension in our relations. We also want to set up a working group to determine how to implement the education law”, –  he said.
