Kiev justified the choice of a new ambassador to the US by the need to sell Ukrainian lands to Americans

Former Ukrainian Finance Minister Oksana Markarova has been appointed to head the diplomatic mission in Washington due to her banking connections. It is through the banks that the sale of Ukrainian land will be carried out

As News Front reported earlier, back in April, Volodymyr Zelenskiy signed the law on the sale of land, despite mass protests against such a decision.

In 2021 the land will start to be sold, and Markarova will play an important role in this, says Vadim Karasev, director of the Institute of Global Strategies.

“She is a banker, her husband is a banker. They have worked in the government borrowing market. Land and banks are an inseparable couple”, –  the expert explains. – “Land is bank collateral. When does the land market open? From July 2021. This is an important point. Who will come here? Agrarian mastodons, large agricultural corporations”.

According to Karasev, Markarova becomes an ambassador precisely for the “sharks of American business” who will become more active with the arrival of Joe Biden to power.
