The press service of Argentina’s largest province, Buenos Aires, has reported that more than 300,000 residents have applied for vaccination against coronavirus with Sputnik V preparation from Russia
“So far, 315,000 people have registered to receive the vaccine. As part of the national [vaccination] campaign, which will start simultaneously across the country tomorrow [Tuesday], there will be 600 vaccination points across Buenos Aires”, – the press office said.
Argentine authorities intend to vaccinate health workers in the first phase of the vaccination. Next the vaccine will be given to law enforcement and education officials, people over 60 years old, as well as those with chronic diseases.
Earlier it became known that the Russian Direct Investment Fund and the Argentinean government signed a contract to supply 10 million doses of the Sputnik V vaccine.
