The Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers has assured that the provisions stipulated in the resolution will help to ensure protection of national interests and security of Ukraine
According to “Ekonomicheskaya Pravda”, the press service of the State Customs Service in Telegram reported that on 16 December the Ukrainian government extended by one year the decree of 17 August 2020, which provides for the application of special duty on certain goods originating from the Russian Federation.
The agency recalled the list of goods for which the special duty continues to apply: heavy distillates (gas oils); liquefied gases; all types of coal except anthracite, bituminized and coke.
“The implementation of the resolution as a whole is the Russian Federation’s response to its use of trade and trade-restrictive measures against Ukraine. The provisions envisioned in the resolution will contribute to the protection of national interests and security of Ukraine, in particular confirming the recognition of the Russian Federation as an aggressor state,” the statement said.
