Zelensky spoke about plans for Donbass

Ukrainian journalist Andriy Pavlovsky published a statement by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on his Telegram channel.

The President of Ukraine believes that “the country is actively working to implement the Paris agreements”. But this statement is not true.

On Wednesday, a meeting of the Contact Group took place, at which the results of the year were summed up. Russian plenipotentiary Boris Gryzlov noted that “the recommendations of the leaders of Germany, France, the Russian Federation and Ukraine have not been fulfilled to date. The contact group records that they have not been fulfilled through the fault of the official Kiev”.

Zelensky continues to declare his desire to “bring to justice for Crimea and Donbass”. It relies on the support of the international community to achieve this goal and to extend the sanctions.

“The issue of sanctions and further work to bring the Russian Federation to legal responsibility for violating international law remains on the agenda”, – Zelensky said.

He also announced plans to rebuild the “occupied” Donbass. But he emphasized that he was going to do this only after “the territory passes under the control of Ukraine”.
