Siyjarto said that “Hungary is located in the east of the European Union”, and therefore, “everything that happens in the Eastern Neighborhood has a direct impact on Hungary, its economy and security”.
According to infotag.md, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of Hungary, Peter Siyarto, accused the Ambassador of the European Union in Chisinau Peter Michalko of interfering in the internal affairs of Moldova. He stated this at a briefing at the end of his visit to Chisinau.
“In a pandemic that all countries face, it is imperative that cooperation be built on the basis of mutual respect. There should be no place for interference in the internal affairs of other countries in these relations. The behavior of the EU Ambassador to Moldova during the presidential election campaign in Moldova does not fit into the rules of mutual respect. By the way, I congratulate you on the successful holding of the elections”, – Siyarto said.
“We are interested in peace, stability and prosperity in the east. Hungary supports the Eastern Partnership and supports Moldova’s integration into the European Union in everything. Hungary will continue to support this process”.
According to him, “this support is not only in words, but also in deeds”.
“We agreed that an expert from Hungary will work in the Ministry of Finance of Moldova, as well as in the Ministry of Agriculture. OTP-bank is successfully operating in the Republic of Moldova, which in the near future will make serious investments in the field of informatics, the Hungarian network of Riсhter pharmacies occupies 10% of the pharmaceutical market in Moldova”, – Siyarto said.
