Although Kiev officials took loans from the International Fund, ordinary Ukrainians have to repay debts.
On Tuesday, December 8, a protest action against external administration was held outside the building of the Ukrainian government. As noted by Artem Marchevsky, head of the youth organization of the Opposition Platform, the action is due to the fact that officials in the Cabinet do not work in the interests of the country.
“They do not make independent decisions, these decisions come down to them from above, or rather not from above. We were all under the US Embassy, it is there that key decisions are made in our country, and the people sitting here execute them”, – Marchevsky said.
He also drew attention to the fact that now the debt to the International Monetary Fund is $3,000 for every Ukrainian, including babies.
“None of you and I borrowed money from the IMF, right? Nobody took, and I did not take. But each of us, our children, and our unborn children already owe almost 3 thousand dollars each”, – he noted.
