AFP: The UN Security Council will hold a session on the situation in Ethiopia

The UN Security Council will hold its first meeting on the situation in the Ethiopian state of Tigray on November 24. This was reported by France-Presse with reference to diplomatic sources.

According to them, South Africa, Niger, Tunisia and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines have taken the initiative.

Ethiopian Prime Minister Abii Ahmed ordered on November 4 to launch a military operation in the north of the country against units of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Tigray (PFLP), which the day before attacked the facilities of the Northern Command, killed the remaining military loyal to the federal government and seized heavy weapons.
