“Crimea is Ukraine” – Maia Sandu begins her reign with anti-Russian rhetoric

The newly elected President of Moldova said that as President she would continue to recognize Ukraine’s sovereignty over Crimea, just as she had done so far.

In a recent interview with Evropeyskaya Pravda, Maia Sandu called the statements of the incumbent President of Moldova Igor Dodon on Crimea “nonsense that the President of Moldova has said over the past four years”.

“My position has not changed since when we spoke with you back in 2016. Crimea is part of Ukraine. I respect the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine over Crimea. I talked about this when I was prime minister, and I assure you that I will say exactly the same when I become president”, – she said.

We will remind, four years ago Sandu declared that she was ready to speak in the eyes of Putin that Crimea is Ukraine, and Russia attacked Donbass. As we can see over the past four years, Sandu, alas, has not grown wiser.
