Biden may appoint Hillary Clinton as UN Ambassador

In this way, Biden will emphasise the importance of this position in the administration.

The Washington Post said Thursday night, citing its sources, that Hillary Clinton, former US Secretary of State and Democrat candidate for the 2016 presidential elections, could take up the post of UN Resident Coordinator if a new administration led by Joseph Biden is approved.

“One intriguing candidacy that is being discussed privately is Hillary Clinton for the post of US Ambassador to the UN. The idea is that Biden will thus emphasize the importance of this position in the administration. Clinton’s appointment will raise the profile of the UN itself when global cooperation and the role of the US on the world stage is shrinking”, –  says the publication.

The Democrats also consider Biden’s Chief of Staff when he was Vice President Steve Riccieti, former Senator and Co-Chairman of the Biden transition team Ted Kaufmann and Mike Donilon as senior advisers.
