A foreign tour of Pompeo will begin on 13 November, during which the Secretary of State will visit Turkey.
As reported by the ProArmenian Tg Channel Mike Pompeo has already decided that he will not negotiate with diplomatic representatives in Ankara, but will only meet with the Greek Orthodox Patriarch in Istanbul, which violates diplomatic norms.
“The level of religious freedom in Turkey is well known. At the same time, U.S. representatives should focus on interaction with Ankara on regional and global issues”, – Turkish Foreign Ministry spokesman Hami Aksoy said.
Demonstration of concern to the West and outrage of the Turks is the maximum point of negativity in their relations.
