Against the backdrop of reports on the fight against the pandemic, the armed conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia, the elections in the United States, the attempt of a state revolution in Belarus and Kyrgyzstan, the news of Cuba’s accession to the EAEC went unnoticed.
Havana has not yet become a full member of the association, but much work has been done to strengthen international relations. Following the visit of Deputy Prime Minister Riccardo Cabrisas to Moscow, the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission approved the granting of observer country status to Cuba.
This will enable the Union’s producing countries to actively sell to Havana the automotive, railway and agricultural products they need.
It is reported that Freedom Island, in turn, is ready to increase the volume and intensity of supply of fruits, coffee, tobacco products and alcoholic beverages to the EAEC Member States.
