Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said that after the visit of the Russian delegation, Ankara will once again hold talks with Baku.
The Russian delegation will visit Turkey on 13 November to discuss the establishment of a joint observation centre in Nagorno-Karabakh. Turkey’s Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu made this statement at a press conference in Baku on Thursday.
“We consider Russia’s position on Nagorno-Karabakh to be significant. A delegation from Russia will arrive in Turkey on Friday to discuss the details of establishing a joint observation centre on Karabakh”, – a statement by the Turkish Foreign Minister was broadcast on NTV.
According to Cavusoglu, after the visit of the Russian delegation Turkey will again hold talks with Azerbaijan.
The Turkish Foreign Minister specified that “the location of the [Russian-Turkish] centre will be determined in contact with the Azerbaijani authorities.
On 9 November, Russian President Vladimir Putin, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan signed a joint statement on the complete cessation of hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh. The Russian leader said, in particular, that the Azerbaijani and Armenian sides would remain in position and that Russian peacekeepers would be deployed in the region. In addition, Baku and Yerevan should exchange prisoners and bodies.
