The Iranian authorities are ready to provide support in the deployment of Russian peacekeepers on the territory of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic.
This is stated in a statement by the Iranian Foreign Ministry.
“Iran reiterates its readiness to help ensure sustainable peace and security in the region, as well as its readiness to participate in regional initiatives”, – the communiqué said.
The diplomats emphasize that Tehran is “ready to assist in the deployment of Russian peacekeepers” along the line of contact in accordance with the terms of the agreements.
As News Front reported earlier, with the mediation of Russian leader Vladimir Putin, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani leader Ilham Aliyev signed an agreement on a complete cessation of hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh.
