Coronavirus pandemics: the USA breaks the world record for daily growth of infected people

A few days before the US presidential election, an unprecedented daily increase of 100,000 people infected with coronavirus has been recorded.

The total number of those infected in the United States rose to 9 million on Friday. This is almost 3% of the country’s total population. According to Reuters, citing US health authorities, in the past 24 hours alone there have been 100,233 new infections in the country.

This is the fifth time in the last 10 days that the US has set a daily record for the spread of infection. The previous peak was recorded the day before and was 91.2 thousand infected.

As News Front reported earlier, analysts at Washington University believe that more than half a million Americans will die from coronavirus before the end of winter. This is not the worst-case scenario that experts predict.
