The British Ambassador said that the two countries helped each other in the first stage of the pandemic, were working together to take citizens home.
As reported by TASS, on Wednesday, British Ambassador to Russia Deborah Bronnert, during an online lecture “Britain’s exit from the EU”, said that sanctions against Russia are unlikely to be lifted, but London will continue to interact with Moscow separately from the European Union.
“I don’t think the sanctions will go away, we already have an established regime. There is a wording on how we will interact with the EU on sanctions, but depending on our interest, we can act separately. We continue to work with Russia. There is a list of those things on which we disagree”, – she said.
The Ambassador noted that Russia and Great Britain are linked by very difficult politically relations.
“There are many points on which we have disagreements. But this does not stop us from working together in the UN Security Council, from working on global climate change and in other areas”, – she said.
