CIS observers did not record any irregularities in preparation for the elections

This was discussed by Evgeny Kozyak, Head of the Mission Staff, after meetings with representatives of the candidates’ election headquarters.

“According to the information we received at the meetings, there are no serious violations to date. Yes, there are some questions, there is a misunderstanding about financing (candidates) due to changes in legislation in 2019. We are discussing these issues”, –  he said.

This week observers are going to review the situation in the regions. This group consists of five people. Another short-term mission will arrive in Chisinau. In total, about 70 observers from the CIS countries will monitor the elections in Moldova.
