Pashinyan said he was ready to meet with the head of Azerbaijan

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan expressed his readiness to come to Moscow to meet with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev for negotiations on Nagorno-Karabakh

“The Nagorno-Karabakh conflict must be resolved exclusively through peaceful means, that is our position. Unfortunately, Azerbaijan does not agree with this point of view. And I am ready to make all necessary efforts to achieve such a result, including going to meet and talk”, –  said the Armenian Prime Minister.

At the same time Pashinyan noted that the resolution of the conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh should be based on a compromise.

“Not the surrender of one of the parties, but a compromise”, –  he said. – “And if there is no readiness on the other side, we are ready to fight to the end for the rights of our people, for the rights of our compatriots in Nagorno-Karabakh. I think this is the position of the Government of Armenia, the people of Armenia and the Armenian Diaspora, I think this is an honest and constructive position.”
