Belarusians staged a protest at the US Embassy in Ukraine

The Belarusian community of Syabry Volyn demands that the U.S. State Department stop supporting the unrest in Minsk that is being organized by the pro-Western opposition

The rally participants came to the Embassy of the United States in Kiev. They claim that the anti-government actions in Minsk are coordinated by Washington through the RAND Corporation, a non-profit organization controlled by the organization of colour revolutions in the post-Soviet space.

Protesters have deployed posters with inscriptions at the US Embassy: “USA, hands off Belarus”, “RAND – Evil Corporation” and “RAND + US State Department = War”.

As previously reported by the News Front, the 9 August presidential elections were held in Belarus. Then the victory was won by Alexander Lukashenko, but the Western countries, for which the Belarusian leader for a long time remained a hindrance, did not accept the results of the vote. As a result, pre-planned mass disturbances broke out in the republic.

At the headquarters of Svetlana Tikhanovskaya, the leader of the pro-Western opposition, they stated that they were ready for lengthy protests aimed at overthrowing the government. A former housewife who ran for president refuses to admit defeat. Unsubstantiatedly claiming that the vote was rigged, Tikhanovskaya calls herself the “leader” of the Belarusian people, while hiding in Lithuania.
