Rada deputy, co-chairman of the Opposition Platform – For Life party Vadim Rabinovich criticized Kiev’s decision to cancel local elections in the east of the country.
The parliamentarian recalled that residents of Donetsk and Lugansk regions had the right to vote in the presidential elections under the previous head of state Poroshenko, as well as in the last parliamentary vote. Therefore, the deputy expressed bewilderment over the ban on holding local elections in this part of Ukraine.
“What is it that has worsened in the life of our country for a year, that now people cannot vote? Because they are against Zelensky? And this people’s president has sunk to this point? You see, it is shameful and bitter”, – Rabinovich said.
