EU and UK to hold another round of Brexit talks

London and Brussels will try to agree on contentious trade issues.

According to “Strana” referring to Reuters, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen agreed during a telephone conversation to hold additional negotiations on the terms of trade between the parties after Brexit.

“Progress has been made in recent weeks, but… significant gaps remain, in particular, but not only, in the areas of fisheries, level playing field and governance”, – it said.

The agreement must be signed by the end of October or early November. This is necessary for the timely ratification of the agreement by the end of the year.
