US allocates almost $350 million additionally for “humanitarian aid to Venezuelans”

The United States authorities have decided to allocate an additional $350 million for “humanitarian aid to the Venezuelans”. This was reported in a statement by US Secretary of State Michael Pompeo.

“The United States is demonstrating its continued commitment to the Venezuelan people and our response to the ongoing humanitarian crisis with nearly $348 million in additional humanitarian aid”, – Pompeo said.

The chief of American diplomacy stressed that, taking into account these funds, the total volume of humanitarian assistance from Washington “in connection with the crisis in Venezuela since 2017, exceeded $1.2 billion, not counting the additional funding allocated” in connection with the pandemic.
