Journalist Julian Assange, who faces 175 years in prison in the USA, can be pardoned if he gives the name of the person who hacked into the Democrats’ e-mail.
Assange is known for revealing to the public extremely uncomfortable facts for the USA about military operations in Afghanistan and Iraq, about the conditions of prisoners in the secret Guantanamo prison. For a long time he was hiding at the Ecuadorian embassy in London, but last year he was denied asylum. The court is now deciding on his extradition to the USA, where the journalist faces life imprisonment. In addition, human rights activists are afraid that Assange will be killed in the States.
However, according to journalist lawyer Edward Fitzgerald, Trump offered the founder of WikiLeaks a deal. Assange needs to know who hacked into the emails of the Democratic Party National Committee. In return, he will be pardoned.
