Danish PM saw an opportunity to boycott Nord Stream-2

The Danish government calls for maintaining independence from Russian gas, when about 40% of the energy consumed by Europe is supplied from the Russian Federation.

Danish Prime Minister Mette Fredriksen, being an ardent opponent of the Nord Stream 2 project, saw an opportunity to sabotage construction in the incident with Alexei Navalny.

As you know, the West is trying to accuse Russia of poisoning an opposition figure who fell into a metabolic coma due to metabolic disorders. In this regard, Fredriksen insists on resuming discussions on the construction of the gas pipeline.

“I was against Nord Stream-2 all the time. I believe that we should not become dependent on Russian gas. It would be nice if we could start a new discussion on this issue”, – the official says.
