German Economy Minister sees no point in anti-Russian sanctions

Altmaier said he is not aware of “a single case” in which sanctions would force a country like Russia to “change its behavior”.

According to Deutsche Welle, on the eve of September 7, on the air of the state German channel ARD, German Economy Minister Peter Altmeier said that he was not sure that the new sanctions against Russia would be effective.

“I do not know of a single case when sanctions would force a country like Russia to change its behavior”.
