Pro-American politicians in Germany are trying to stop the “Nord Stream-2” “poisoned” Navalny

The head of the German Bundestag Foreign Policy Committee Norbert Röttgen again called for the construction of the gas pipeline to be abandoned.

According to DW, in an interview with the Rheinische Post published on Saturday, September 5, the head of the Bundestag’s foreign policy committee from the Christian Democratic Party, Norbert Röttgen, said that Germany and France should stop acting alone in relations with Russia.

Commenting on the discussion about possible sanctions against the Russian Federation after the “poisoning” of Russian opposition politician Alexei Navalny, the MP from the Christian Democratic Union said that a single European strategy towards Russia could emerge only if Germany and France abandon their sole efforts in this direction.

“The pivot of the common European strategy should be the halt of the Nord Stream 2 project,” stressed the head of the Bundestag’s foreign policy committee, who is convinced that the European Union, as the most important consumer of Russian energy resources, will actually encourage Putin’s policy if Navalny’s “poisoning” remains unanswered.

This is not Röttgen’s first statement regarding the abandonment of the gas project. His fussy and repetitive statements, in which he tries to link the fate of a purely economic project with an obvious fake about Navalny’s “poisoning”, clearly demonstrate what were the true goals of those who ordered this scandal.
