As US President Donald Trump said, for American companies, cooperation with Russia is a necessary measure. The fact is that the raw materials produced in the United States are too expensive. This is due to many restrictions within the framework of environmental regulation. Trump stressed that it is his opponents in the Democratic Party who support such strict norms. In particular, the president criticized New York Democrat Governor Andrew Cuomo.
“Did you know New England has the highest energy spending in the United States? Do you know what this is related to? With the fact that Governor Cuomo bans the laying of a pipeline through the territory of the state of New York, so that we can deliver there oil and gas, which we have plenty of, “- said the president.
It is in this regard, Trump continues, that American companies are often forced to purchase oil abroad, even in the current environment, when the oil storage facilities in the United States are overflowing.
“Do you know whose energy resources you are buying? Russian! Did you know? Many ships arrive to you, a significant part from Russia. This is due to the fact that the Governor of New York Cuomo does not permit the construction of the pipeline, ”the president stated.
As News Front reported earlier, it became known that American companies purchased oil in Russia for a record amount. It is only 23% less than Germany’s spending on Russian gas.
