The British government is thinking of giving up tanks

Great Britain may refuse from tanks. This decision was made due to the rising cost of upgrading Challenger 2 tanks and Warrior infantry fighting vehicles.

The government is considering the option of abandoning these vehicles as part of its modernization of the armed forces.
This was reported by the Times.

The Challenger 2 tanks and Warrior infantry fighting vehicles were declared obsolete back in 2019.

“While it remains possible to upgrade the Challenger 2 or buy a Leopard 2 tank from Germany, the UK is already seeking the views of NATO partners on the proposal to abandon heavy armor and review its military contribution to the alliance”, –  the publication said.
