US troops will now be stationed in Poland on a permanent basis

The United States and Poland signed a new military cooperation agreement. According to this document, American troops will be permanently stationed on Polish soil.

This was told by the head of the office of the President of Poland Krzysztof Szczerski:

“The treaty corresponds to the new status of the presence of American troops in Poland, which will no longer be periodic, but permanent. And this change requires new legal norms regarding the presence of American troops in Poland”.

Defense officials discussed the conditions for the presence of US troops in Poland for a long time and were able to come to an agreement at the end of June. Apparently, the Americans were simply inventing their own terms, and Warsaw unquestioningly accepted them.
