An oligarch and corrupt official Ilan Shor, who escaped from Moldova, sent his party to protest against Peter Michalko after the European Union in Chisinau.
Now the deputies of the Shor party have gathered outside the EU Delegation, demanding that Mikhalko be recalled because of the way he spoke about Shor. Party representatives believe that the ambassador made non-diplomatic comments about the corrupt official now hiding in Israel.
MP Marina Tauber, in particular, called the statements a “flagrant violation” of the diplomatic status of the European ambassador. She regarded Mikhalko’s actions as “interference of a foreign state in the internal affairs of another state”.
