China is going to participate in negotiations to reduce strategic offensive arms only if the US nuclear arsenal is reduced to the level of China.
This was stated by Director of the Department of Arms Control of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China, Phu Tsun.
“There are two ways: China is increasing its nuclear potential to the level of the United States, or the United States is reducing it to the level of China”, – he said.
The diplomat noted that he did not believe that the States would agree to such a condition.
