The Russian Embassy in London is extremely dissatisfied with the inclusion in the British sanctions list of the chairman of the UK Alexander Bastrykin, the heads of the Prosecutor General’s Office and judges.

The United Kingdom on July 6 published a list of individuals and organizations that London accuses of violating human rights.

The response of the Russian mission was not long in coming:

“In Russia, the investigation, the prosecutor’s office and the court operate on the basis of independence from the executive branch and are guided exclusively by law. In their practical work, they cannot be allowed to look back on hypothetical sanctions that may be imposed by a foreign state for political reasons, ”the Foreign Ministry commented.
