The mayor of the Syrian city of Deir ez-Zor Rein Mendi said that the restoration of the Sinaia region has begun.
“Before the war, about 30 thousand people lived here. There were many industrial facilities. The militants came here in 2010. The invaders were knocked out only after seven years. But due to the fact that they besieged the surrounding areas for a long time, we could not begin the restoration. Now the main thing is to assemble brigades, equipment. We are not talking about deadlines yet, ” he said.
So far, not all specialists have arrived at the place. It is difficult to say how long the restoration will take: the district has, in fact, to be rebuilt.
In addition, roads are being restored in the city: they started from Guar Square, because this is an important section on which the roads from Aleppo and Palmyra converge.
