The US defense budget project for the next fiscal year involves the allocation of almost $ 3.8 billion for the European Containment Initiative program aimed at containing Russia.
The document was prepared by Adam Smith, Chairman of the Armed Forces Committee of the House of Representatives of the United States Congress.
In particular, for “strategic shipping by sea, satellite communications, refueling, submarines and anti-submarine military capabilities that strengthen Russian containment”.
According to Smith, the draft budget “extends the ban on financing any activity that would recognize the sovereignty of the Russian Federation over Crimea,” “continues to limit military cooperation with Russia, expanding the rule of interpretation according to which the ban does not affect bilateral military dialogue in order to reduce the risk of conflict”.
First of all, we are talking about the communication channel of the defense departments of the two countries in Syria.
