On Wednesday and Thursday night protests were held in several Montenegrin cities with riots.
The police were forced to use force and special means, including tear gas.
In Budva, 17 protesters, including members of the city’s opposition leadership, were detained and one police officer was injured. In the capital – Podgorica – 18 people were detained, including two members of parliament from the opposition Democratic Front, and an Interior Ministry officer was injured.
In Niksic, four police officers were injured in the riots and two protesters were detained, but police said that “work with the participants is ongoing.
In addition, about 150 people blocked the highway between Belo Polje and Berhane.
