The mayor of New York, Bill de Blasio, on his Twitter announced the abolition of curfews in the city, since the June 6 protests were peaceful.
“New York: we are abolishing the curfew, (this decision. – ed.) takes effect immediately. Yesterday and last night, the residents of our city showed their best, ”he said.
On May 2, the Mayor of New York announced the extension of curfews in the city until the end of the week amid riots that began after the death of African-American George Floyd.
